A new church, St Bartholomew's, was built in Wickham Bishops in 1850 and St Peter's became a chapel of ease.The font, holy water stoup and parish chest were taken to the new church. St Peter's church was declared redundant in 1970. More recently, it has been in use as a stained glass workshop.
