Stapleford Tawney - Casket Monument

The large raised casket monument north-west of the church marks the undergound vault of the Cunliffe-Smith family. Originally for Susannah, Charles Smith's first wife, it dates from 1796. It carries the family coat of arms, and was designed by the architect Joseph Bonomi.
