Mount Bures - St John the Baptist

The central crossing tower was rebuilt in 1875 when the two short transepts were added, but otherwise the Grade I listed church is Norman. It was built a hundred yards south of a Norman motte and bailey castle, of which the mound survives and is publicly accessible.
