Sturmer - St Mary

St Mary's is situated on a hill outside the village next to Sturmer Hall, overlooking farmland. The church has a Saxon nave and Norman chancel. The tower was added during the 14th century and the porch, early in the 16th century. The double hammerbeam roof is believed to be by Thomas Loveday. St Mary's is Grade I listed.
