There is an unusual three storied, wooden 17th century annex at the western end of the church which is known as the Priest's House. It was built during the late Tudor or early Stuart times and contains a (possibly unique) bread oven. It was used as accommodation for a priest but also as a school, housing the school master and his family and often pupils as well
