The original Norman church with its south doorway (with chevron moulding and scalloped capitals) is now the south aisle and lady chapel of the building. In the early 15th century the belfry was added supported by massive oak posts. In the 1880s a new flint chancel and nave was added to the north side of the original building which tends to dwarf the original structure.
