Little Baddow - St Mary the Virgin

An early Norman church built from rubble with re-used Roman bricks, set on a sloping site on a hill about a mile outside the village of Little Baddow. The nave was widened around 1330 and the tower added at some time in the same century. The chancel was rebuilt in the 15th century. The church is Grade I listed.
